October is National Pasta Month and we’re celebrating with Cucina Antica cooking sauces. I don’t know about your house, but pasta is a staple on our weekly menu. It’s also high on the list when my daughter has a competition as she “carbs up” with spaghetti. Depending on the recipe or what’s on the menu dictates which cooking sauce we use and if it’s homemade or store bought. For National Pasta Month this year, Cucina Antica asked if we would try their sauces and we joyfully agreed.
We started out with the family favorite, spaghetti and sauce utilizing Cucina Antica’s Marinara. Typically a jar of sauce takes care of dinner for our family of 4. This sauce was such a hit, I should have made 2 jars. The kids were taking their garlic bread and wiping the pot clean to make sure they got every last drop.
The Garlic Marinara sauce allows the home chef to satisfy everyone in the family, as it is a perfectly balanced blend of Italian San Marzano tomatoes, fresh herbs, and spices. Simmer it for a few minutes and toss it with your favorite pasta to create a simply delicious meal the whole family will enjoy without the use of preservatives or added sugar.
From the moment you open the jar, the aroma is mesmerizing! This sauce has a great balance and consistency. We can’t wait to try their other flavors. Next up on our list is the Tomato Basil sauce which we are planning on having with homemade ravioli. If you fancy Pumpkin, you might want to try their Tuscany Pumpkin Sauce. The website provides amazing recipes as well which utilize their amazing cooking sauces.
