Family Game Night with Bananagrams

Family game night in our house is epic.  It’s every Friday night and it comes fully loaded with pizza, popcorn and a lot of fun.  We started when I was a kid and it’s continued now that I have kids.  My mom gets involved as does my brother and there is never a lack of competition.  One of our favorite games is Bananagrams.  I have to say, this game lets you start the kids early – as in Kindergarten early!

BananagramsMy First Bananagrams  is the perfect first word game for preschoolers and early readers! My First BANANAGRAMS utilizes lowercase letters and word-building, combo letter tiles to help nurture your child’s love for wordplay and word games. This game features lower letters, combo-letter tiles for early readers, and mini games to progress skills. With multiple activities and mini games, they’ll enjoy a play-progression towards  the original BANANAGRAMS experience!

This is more of a phonics version of bananagrams. There are pieces that have the combinations TH and PH and other double letter bricks like OO and IG that help the players work on correct spellings of words where phonics are involved! It is a fun game for newer spellers and readers.

As the kids get older, they can graduate to the full version of Bananagrams.  The Anagram game that will drive you bananas. The award-winning word game that needs no pencil, paper, or board. Fast and fun. Players race against each other to build crossword grids and use all their letter tiles first.

These games come in a smaller bag that looks like a banana, so it’s easy and convenient to have in the car when you are on the go.  Great for travel.
