*What one word best describes your current state of mind?  why?
Foggy. We just had our second baby, Samuel Joseph, in mid-May. I am still trying to get my brain back in order!
*What inspired you to begin blogging?
I started blogging to document our first pregnancy (with Ellen) so our family and friends could keep up to date. As I started reading other blogs, I realized how much more it could become.
*What do you blog about?
My tagline is So, all of that with a bit of faith and humor.
*Complete this sentence:  “I blog because…”
It’s a great brain dump and a fantastic way to connect with other women. I also make a little side-cash to help pay the bills; that never hurts!
*What is your favorite subject to blog about?
I love writing about Catholicism. I try to write a couple of posts per month on the topic.
*What advice do you have for someone who wants to start blogging?
Start reading other blogs. Decide what you like and what you don’t like about each of them. Pretty soon, you will start to form an idea of who you want to be as a blogger.
*Your favorite all time blog post (authored by you of course)?
Hmm. That’s a hard one. I feel like I have written so much. How about this one? I got a lot of positive feedback and thank-yous from many women. I was so glad I could help a tiny little bit.
*Your favorite blog(s) that you read all the time.
I read a TON of blogs. I mean, check this out:
But, the three I am most recently into are:
Hooked on Houses
3 Things for Mom
*Current projects that have you engaged and excited?
Right now I am working with Santa Clara Designs to start a blog advising program. I will be helping bloggers start up their sites and turn them into what they have been dreaming of!
*What term or phrase do you most over use?
*What are 5 things/items you think moms can’t do without?
*Best parenting resource you would recommend?
Your intuition. I have read every parenting book on the planet, and you know what it got me? A feeling of being overwhelmed and inadequate. I steer clear now and only listen to the advice of trusted friends. I might make mistakes, but they are my mistakes now.
*What do you do in your downtime to relax?
I blog. I do a lot of blogging. I guest post, write about real estate, freelance, and edit.
*What is your favorite part about being a mom?
The love that I feel for my kids. Some days I might feel like I hate every single thing I have to do to keep the house and family going, but I love the love. I can’t think of anything that my kids could do to make me stop loving them.
*Where can we connect with you?
